Associate Justice John G. Roberts, Jr.
Given my career choice, I have a passing interest in the women and men who conduct their business at One First Street. OK, I'm a Supreme Court junkie. So the biggest news after Sandra Day O'Connor's retirement is the nomination and confirmation of her replacement. And today, it's announced that it's the Honorable John G. Roberts. While he is qualified, including among other things, being a male superhottie of the federal judiciary, I am disappointed with his selection. It is yet another white guy with a Harvard Law degree. Can you get any more white than a person whose name is John Roberts? Edith Clement at least went to Tulane Law. That's different than the usual pedigree of the holy trinity of Harvard, Yale, and Stanford.

Rehnquist finished #2 at Law School behind O'Connor. Funny little fact.
Actually, O'Connor was #3 and Rehnquist was #1 in the Stanford Law class of '52. Wow... I really am a Supreme Court junkie. I need help.
Really? Hmmm...I shall have to go lecture one of my professors. I wonder what else she lied to us about.
