More lessons from Craigslist

I know I'm anal-retentive, and I'm sure there's a Freudian explanation referring to what age I was toilet-trained at. However, I prefer typing with correct spelling, punctuation, and grammar. Even if it's just a blog or forum entry, I feel that correct English helps me be better understood. If I expect someone to read this, I'm going to take the care to make sure it's easy to read. However, it seems that such a belief is mistaken. Apparently, that should only be reserved for paper assignments in college, and any correction means you're a dork with life issues taking it out on someone online. I have learned all this from another gem on Craigslist. By the way, the appeal of misogyny for me increases.

A complainant felt she needed a little information on an assistant district attorney prosecuting "her" case. I will save discussion of indicting the prosecutor until later in the post. Much of her posting speaks for itself.

i need the scoop on a d.a.
any info appreciated. email me so as not to get into this in such a public forum.

an upcoming case will be handled by him, i want to know how good he is/if anyone has had problems/etc. this case and the way it will go means alot to an upcoming hearing, and i want to know what to expect from this prosecutor.

Info on him: (Name of DA and his location deleted by me)

click my name and email me. or send it to (e-mail deleted by me)

+++many thanks

We then go into the land of mixed metaphors, when someone points out "a lot" is two words:

alot/a lot

yeah, i've heard the alot/a lot thing A LOT and as always ALOT of the time i give nary a fuck.

this is internet forum posting and not even the greatest of forums where there is generally poor grammar, poor spelling, poor description; and when someone does explain things fully/use decent grammar/etc they are blasted and pissed on.
damned if you do, damned if you don't.

not to slit my wrists with occhams razor or anything, but resorting to the attacks you and the other twit[or maybe your the same person who knows]gave me i'll assume your dorks with life issues taking it out on someone online cause its safe to do.

now, about that double edged sword: you're more than welcome to toss yourself on it.

Followed by:

you're/your

yeah again i don't follow it in forums USUALLY.

when writing a paper its a different story. surely it is for everyone else as well.

i find it amusing that simple things like alot/a lot are beign nitpicked. a true intellectual could have a field day with the poor, poor grammmar i am using. my sentence structuring sucks. as steve martin said, to lower your iq by 60 points simply write like you talk. : DDD

&i'm intense. i don't take anything to seriously but i do love being vicious.

and aside, i really just want to know about this d.a. misdemeanor puppet.

Now that we understand that correcting her grammar sets off little tirades, let's get to the true heart of what she wants, information on the Assistant District Attorney "puppet" whose full name and location she posted on a public forum, so she can get as much information as possible about how inept he is. I'm sure he also loves that the complainant just admitted to a propensity to being vicious.

Someone told her to look at the District Attorney's website, for information about him. Even though she doesn't want to get into it on a public forum,

they don't say much about his practice in the courtroom tho.
he seems new to law, and has only been with the da's office for a little while. its someone else being prosecuted, he does have a decent defense attorney. which is why i'm concerned. his attorney has several more years under her belt! if this kid isn't forthright and direct this case can totally be spun around.
and i need him to win, or it will make an upcoming hearing in civil court difficult.
what ahve you heard otherwise?

and

there is nothing w/ the bar, i've checked. i'm worried his lack of experience will lose the case, its practice not just the education that makes a good lawyer and he is right out of law school and has been doing this for a whopping one year. given the defense attorney's experience he most likely will lose. the more i hear from various ppl the more i think this case is going to be lost. however, there is always civil tort complaints.

And if you're not getting the desired results, complain to the boss.

i will call the supervisor and discuss this matter.
esp. if the outcome could effect the civil case, this needs to be a winning outcome, damn it.

So the lesson is that prosecutors with less than one year of experience aren't real prosecutors. They're little puppets whose strings are pulled by defense attorneys. I really wish I could pull a prosecutor's string. It would make life a lot easier. I'm sure they can spare a felony attorney to handle his misdemeanor case, because it's crucial to her civil case, and well, as I've heard from many prosecutors, the prosecutors are there to be representatives of the victims, so naturally the victims should direct how a prosecution is handled.

Incidentally, she wants to be a lawyer herself. I'm sure she'll use proper English on her personal statement and in her law review comment. She might even use proper English in her final examinations, but those might deserve a little informality considering the time constraints.

how do other schools in texas fare? i've a b.s. and am debating law or engineering.

Please, God, please, let a man post something stupid next.
